The Uptown Cafe is an affordable, low-key Italian bistro. The cafe offers a selection of Italian cold cuts, subs made on fresh French bread, and entrees such as chicken cacciatore, chicken marsala, baked ziti and the classic spaghetti and meatballs. There is also a selection of homemade pasta sauces, including marinara, alfredo, scampi, pesto cream and pink cream (a marinara cream sauce). The Suffolk University card is accepted at this establishment.

I stop in here about once a month, usually on my way home from Government Center. The food is delicious, the service is good, and I enjoy the casual atmosphere.
