Julie King, a Mexican-American woman who was unsatisfied with the lack of traditional, quality Mexican food in Massachusetts, opened the first Villa Mexico location in 1998. Today, the Beacon Hill location is known for preparing authentic Mexican burritos, quesadillas, tostadas and tacos by hand and with only the freshest ingredients.
