The Advent School was founded in 1961, and accepts students in pre-school through the sixth grade. It is an…More independent, sectarian school, and although at one time it was related, it is no longer affiliated with the Advent Church across the street. It is housed in two adjoining town homes with newly-renovated classrooms. According to the school, more than 60 percent of its graduates go on to attend Boston Latin School or Academy, making admission to Advent very competitive. The school prides itself on personalized attention; a minimum of two teachers are assigned to each classroom.
About 90 percent of Advent's students live in the city of Boston. Tuition ranges from $19,500 a year for kindergarten to $20,600 a year for fifth and sixth grades. Financial aid is available.
