Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week: Brownie, 2-Year-Old Playful Mix

Adopt Brownie from the Animal Rescue League of Boston in the South End.

Brownie is an active and fun-loving two-year-old mixed breed. She loves to play with other dogs during our morning playgroup and would likely do well living with another playful dog. This girl has a lot of energy to burn, and is looking for a home with an active family. She is very smart and loves to cuddle. Brownie would benefit greatly from attending a basic obedience class to help work on her manners. She is already walking better with the help of a gentle leader. Terra the Rat Needs a Home

Rats make excellent pets.

Meet Terra, a 1-year-old male rat that was transferred to the Animal Rescue League from another rescue organization. Despite their reputation, rats make excellent pets! They are very social and curious animals and can be easily trained to be very tame if effort is put into handling them. Terra loves interacting with his human friends here and would love nothing more than a home where he can do the same. To meet with Terra or for more information contact the Animal Rescue League of Boston today!

Check out BeFireSmart.com which hastips, interactive games for kids, and a downloadable coloring book with a story that teaches children to never hide from a firefighter during a fire. 2. The time for apple picking is officially under way – not to mention hayrides, face painting, and fall festivals. With nearly 80 apple orchards in Massachusetts, the state has convenient farm finder with info, locations and contact information. And for a direct link to pick-…
