Police: Man Robbed at Gunpoint, Pistol-Whipped on Beacon Hill Friday

The man was told to get on his knees at Joy and Mt. Vernon streets.

CORRECTION: The incident below reportedly happened at midnight Friday, not 8 a.m., as a previous story stated.  A man reported to police that as he was walking down Joy Street around midnight Friday he was stopped by a man who pointed a silver revolver at his head and told him to get on his knees or be killed. The victim said the suspect then ordered him to empty his pockets, which he did, handing over an iPhone, iPad, cash, credit cards and his keys. The suspect then pistol-whipped the victim and ran from the scene, at the corner of Joy and Mt. Vernon streets, toward the Boston Common. The victim went to his girlfriend's home on Beacon Hill and banged on the door to get her attention to call police. A resident heard the banging and called…

We are going through a crime wave in Beacon Hill. Where are the required Police patrols?? We never see any Police on foot or bike in our neighborhood as we did in the past. Please call the Civic Association today and have them pressure the Police Department for a patrol presence now before we have more additional injured Citizens.   more ›

Police Catch Man They Say Robbed Cambridge Trust Wednesday

Suspect arrested in Back Bay.

Police caught the man they say robbed Cambridge Trust late Wednesday afternoon.  Patrick Cannon, 54, of Boston, was arrested at 11:27 p.m on Yawkey Way and Van Ness Street, after police tracked him there. Cannon will be charged with armed robbery of a bank, armed robbery while masked, and being a fugitive from justice on an outstanding warrant for violation of parole for bank robbery.  Police say that bank employees reported that a man came into the bank around 5:20 p.m. armed with a gun and told employees he would shoot them if they moved. Police later found a car in a garage at 47 Symphony Road with evidence inside connecting the suspect to the bank robbery. Drugs Stolen in Armed Robbery at Cambridge St. Rite Aid

Boston Police responded to an armed robbery Tuesday evening at the Rite Aid Pharmacy.

A suspect made away with a list of drugs in an armed robbery at a Rite Aid Pharmacy at 100 Cambridge St., on the corner of Bowdoin St., Tuesday evening, a spokesman for the Boston Police Department said. Police received a call around 5:40 p.m. for an armed robbery at the Beacon Hill pharmacy. The victim, a pharmacist,  told police the suspect approached the pharmacy counter in the back of the store armed with a small silver handgun. The suspect ordered the pharmacist to give him all the phenol patches. The pharmacist told the suspect she didn't have any. The suspect then handed her a list of drugs and said, "Give me everything. Don't believe me? I'll jump over this counter and shoot you." The pharmacist complied and the suspect ran out of …
