Myrtle Street Homeowners Looking to Take Down Linden Tree for Parking Space

The city will hold a hearing on the matter this Thursday. Written comments need to be received by 5 p.m. today.

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department will host a public hearing Thursday to discuss the proposed removal of one public shade tree at 81 Myrtle St., whose owners want to turn their backyard into a parking space.  The public hearing, held by the Boston Tree Warden, will address an application for removal of a linden tree (measuring 11 inches in diameter at breast height) for a curb cut at the rear of theproperty facing Revere Street. The tree warden may accept or deny the application.
