Police Log: Pregnant Perpetrator Shoplifts Boutique

A look at the daily crime reports for Beacon Hill and the surrounding area from Dec. 3-5.

Friday, Dec. 3 No incidents reported in Beacon Hill. Saturday, Dec. 4 At 3 a.m. Boston police responded to an incident of vandalism at the FOX 25 T.V. studio on 22 Beacon St. The commercial alarm was set off after a pane of glass was damaged on the Beacon St. side of the studio, the police report said. Officers on scene observed a spider-webbed crack in the glass but the glass remained intact and no entry was gained into the studio. No arrests have been made.  At 3:17 p.m. Boston police responded to call for shoplifting at Crush Boutique on 131 Charles St. An employee of Crush told police that a pregnant, blonde woman stole a sweater from the boutique, according to the police report. Friday, Nov. 26 At 9:24 a.m. police responded to 17 Charles St. for a report of breaking and entering into a non-residence at night by force. Charles Street Cleaners is located at this address. At 9:59 a.m. police responded to 175 Tremont St. for a report of larceny in a building, $200 and over. At 4:50 p.m. police responded to 6 Beacon St. for a report of breaking and entering into a residence during the day without force. At 10:30 p.m. police responded to 165 Cambridge St. for a report of larceny from a vehicle, $200 and over. Saturday, Nov. 27 At 12:27 p.m police responded to 3 Chestnut St. for a report of vandalism. Police Log: Breaking and Entering on Chestnut St.

A look at the daily crime reports for Beacon Hill and the surrounding area from Nov. 24-25.

Wednesday, Nov. 24 At 11:36 police responded to 71 Chestnut St. for a report of a breaking and entering into a residence during the day without force.  A woman told police that her laptop computer was stolen within the previous hour and a half.  She said she believes someone came into her unlocked apartment while she was taking a shower and stole it. Police have no suspects. At 2:41 p.m. police arrested Pakv On Tsoi, of 115 Chauncy St., Boston, on Knapp St. and charged him with assault and battery. At 3:41 police responded to 39 Boylston St. for a report of possession of a class A drug with the intent to distribute it. At 3:44 p.m. police responded to 91 W. Police Log: Gunshot Wound at Faneuil Hall

A look at the daily crime reports for Beacon Hill and the surrounding areas from Nov. 22-23.

Monday, Nov. 22 At 12:56 a.m. police responded to Milk and Broad streets for a report of three gunshots heard in the area.  Police canvassed the area and didn't find anything suspicious, but 10 minutes later a man walked into Boston Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the back of the head he had sustained in the Faneuil Hall area.  The wound was determined to be not life-threatening. The man said he didn't know who shot him, and became "evasive and belligerent" toward police upon further questioning, reports state. A security officer at 75 State St. also told police that he heard the gunshot.  Police found a bullet hole in the window of 116 State St. and later recovered spent round of ammunition on the restaurant's floor.  Police have a …

Boston's District A-1 Police have tips to keep you and you family safe during the holidays.

If you don't have a safe holiday, you probably won't have a happy holiday. So your District A-1 Police officers have shared a list of tips to keep you and your family and friends celebrating safely on the Hill this holiday season. 1. Pay attention to your surroundings while shopping: Walk confidently with you head up. Stay in well-lighted and well-traveled areas. Pay attention to people walking in front of and behind you. Pay particular attention when you are in crowded areas such as malls and stores (and a jammed sidewalk on Charles St.!) Places with crowds are favorites for thieves and pickpockets. If you carry a purse, keep it in front of you and close to your body. Open-weaved bags without zippers or flaps are easy marks for …

Wednesday, Nov. 17 At 3 a.m. police responded to Chauncy St. for a report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of personal injury. At 7:22 a.m. police responded to 100 Arch St. for a report of breaking and entering into a non-residence at night by force. At 9:21 a.m. police responded to 79 Myrtle St. for a report of breaking and entering into a residence at night by force. At 9:26 a.m. police responded to Ashburton Place for a report of larceny from a vehicle, $200 and over. At 9:51 a.m. police reported a bomb threat that they investigated Nov. 15 at 1 Accolon Way. Police Discuss Recent Robberies and Road Rage on Charles St.

In a meeting Wednesday Boston police officers gave neighbors the lowdown on crime trends for November.

In a community meet and greet Wednesday Boston Police officers shared updates on some of this month's more serious crimes in Beacon Hill.  At the Hill House District A-1 Capt. Bernard O'Rourke and Community Service Officer Sgt. Tom Lema shared statistics and trends and discussed what's been done and what still needs to be done to make Beacon Hill a safer place. Two Robberies at Knife-Point in One Month O'Rourke discussed to robbery incidents in depth -- both were originally reported in our police logs here and here.
