If only there were more charitable events where all you have to do is show up and eat. For conscious-minded consumers on Beacon Hill, several neighborhood and area restaurants are offering the opportunity to do just that, through the Greater Boston Food Bank's Super Hunger Brunch on Jan. 26-27. Dine at Beacon Hill's Clink for brunch on the restaurant's fixed price menus and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Greater Boston Food Bank, which doles out nearly 41 million pounds of food and grocery products a year to 550 member hunger-relief agencies in Boston and eastern Massachusetts. Towards the end of Charles St., you'll find the café that's been there the longer than any of the others. Sixteen years may not seem like much, but for retail businesses in Boston's competitive market, it's like dog years. Inspired by his post-collegiate tour of Europe, owner Chris Spagnuolo has created Panificio Bistro & Bakery, a place vaguely reminiscent of an English pub with its deep wood décor but with a menu that bears the mark of Italian and German influences.
