Police Catch Man They Say Robbed Cambridge Trust Wednesday

Suspect arrested in Back Bay.

Police caught the man they say robbed Cambridge Trust late Wednesday afternoon.  Patrick Cannon, 54, of Boston, was arrested at 11:27 p.m on Yawkey Way and Van Ness Street, after police tracked him there. Cannon will be charged with armed robbery of a bank, armed robbery while masked, and being a fugitive from justice on an outstanding warrant for violation of parole for bank robbery.  Police say that bank employees reported that a man came into the bank around 5:20 p.m. armed with a gun and told employees he would shoot them if they moved. Police later found a car in a garage at 47 Symphony Road with evidence inside connecting the suspect to the bank robbery. Cambridge Trust Robbed for Third Time Since May

Police on scene to investigate at 65 Beacon St.

Police confirmed to Patch that they are on scene at Cambridge Trust, 65 Beacon St., for a report of an armed robbery. The robbery was reported at 5:25 p.m., police said.  Universal Hub is reporting that a white male fled in a Cadillac, possibly wearing plaid shorts, a white jumpsuit or a yellow shirt. The website also reported, via its Twitter feed, that the car was dumped in Copley Square. Police did not confirm this information.  As of 5:50 p.m., police were at the bank and no further information about the robbery was available.  This is the third time the bank has been robbed since May.
