Starbucks Product Recalled For Possible Salmonella

The recall is because of potentially-contaminated peanut butter sold in Starbucks Protein Bistro Boxes.

Starbucks Protein Bistro Boxes are being recalled because of possible Salmonella contamination. Beacon Hill has three Starbucks, at 1 Charles St., 97 Charles St. and 222 Cambridge St.  Flying Food Group is voluntarily recalling Starbucks brand Protein Bistro Box with Enjoy By dates 8/10/12 to 10/6/12, which includes Justin’s Nut Butter 0.5-ounce single-serve Honey Peanut Butter squeeze packs. According to the FDA, The recalled peanut butter squeeze packs contained in the Protein Bistro Boxes have the following Best By dates: 7/14/13, 7/26/13, 7/27/13, 7/28/13, 7/29/13, 8/9/23, 8/10/13, 8/13/13, 8/14/13, 8/15/13, 8/26/13, 8/27/13, 8/28/13, 8/29/13, or 8/30/13. Starbucks and Patch are partnering to deliver tailored Web content to Starbucks WiFi users.

Hi Readers, On Wednesday Starbucks rolled out its new Web initiative: the Starbucks Digital Network. In partnership with Yahoo!, the network serves up a collection hand-picked news, entertainment and lifestyle content along with local insights and events on Starbucks' free WiFi network. Patch is excited to announce that the Starbucks Digital Network will feature a local Patch site based on the location of the store. For example, if you're sitting at a Starbucks on Charles St., the network will feature Beacon Hill Patch; if you're surfing the Web at the Starbucks at 627 Tremont St., you'll see the South End Patch featured instead.
