OK folks – I know we said Monday we would make the call, but with everything that we are hearing thus far with cancellations and evacuations already (flights, schools, businesses) I am making the call now.
I apologize that we have to do this, however first and foremost this is supposed to be a SAFE KIDS Halloween party, with that in mind the 4th Annual Elks Halloween Party IS POSTPONED until November 8th @ 5pm
Please get back to me ASAP to let me know that you received this, and what you can do to help get the word out.
Thank You

Cassandra,
Did you hear that The Middletown Press, New Haven Register, CT Magazine and one other JRC property were sold. Don't know to what company.

One of the things that I used to appreciate and respect of a true professional journalist is how they kept their own personal ideology out of news reporting. No matter the results, even if it hurt the position of their personal beliefs or choices, they reported the truth and didn't ignore news or a potentionally enlightening story just for political convenience.
I've stopped watching most main stream news outlets, stopped reading the Hartford Courant, New York Times, the Tribune because they can't keep their ideological bent out of straight news stories. I've always enjoyed editorials but I know they reflect the writers opinions.
I appreciate your up front profile and applaud your ethical stand to report unbiased news.
With that being said, what do you know about the Miller/Peckinpaugh Chester Village talk. I've heard a utube video that took that whole conversation out of context. It appears as if it's been spliced to attibute a question that was asked of Phil Miller to Janet Peckinpaugh and put another answer she addressed with Phil's questions. This is just unethical and I believe is news worthy.
Also, Phil Millers facebook page says he lives in Killingworth. When asked about it he said it was Comcast's fault, which doesn't make sense. When we set up our facebook accounts, our internet provider doesn't publish personal information. This is serious because he can't be an Essex 1st Selectman if he lives in Killingworth. Any information?
